A wonderful day to you. I want to briefly introduce 3 categories of people in life to you and I'll tell you what they do. So, it will be left to you to figure out where you belong. We have the IMMITATORS, DUPLICATORS and also, the ORIGINATORS.
THE IMITATORS ->
This group of people don't have direction in life. They tend to do THE SAME THING the ORIGINATORS do, irrespective of the time, place, etc. Also, they are not idea cultivators and many of them copy as many ORIGINATORS around them as possible, which in turn makes them, "Jack of all trades, master of none"
THE DUPLICATORS ->
These group of people are slightly different from the IMITATORS. Just like the IMMITATORS, the DUPLICATORS copy from the ORIGINATORS but, they edit it so that it will look different from that of the ORIGINATORS.
THE ORIGINATORS ->
These group of people are who we need in our society because, they are the idea-cultivators, they are the people that make changes and these are the people that add "extra" to their "ordinary" to make them, "EXTRA ORDINARY".
So, my people, as you start a new week today, I want you to check your life to find out where you belong and if you find out that you are not an ORIGINATOR, don't give up, all need to do is to take a bold step forward. May God help us all.
A black young Boy, Jeva by name, went to an Amusement park
with his Parents. On getting there, they saw a man who sells Balloons.
Many children were all around the man, making sure their parents get
them at least one of the Ballons. One thing that made it so fascinating
was that the ballon man occasionally releases a ballon or two in the air
so as to attract the
attention of the kids.
Jeva was not left out
of the attraction. He also wanted one of those ballons, to play with.
But at the same time, he had a question in mind to ask the ballon man.
On getting there, he said to the ballon man, " I've seen you release a
red ballon, a blue ballon, and a white ballon, and they all went to the
sky at your release. But one thing that confuses me is that, if a BLACK
ballon should be released, will it go up to the sky aswell ?"
The man in amusement touched the boy on the shoulder and said, " It's
not the color that determines if it will go up to the sky but the
content in the ballon. Definitely, a BLACK ballon will fly to the sky
aswell.
The meaning of this story is
self-explanatory in it's own little way. For the young Boy was trying to
know if the color of his skin can be a determinant of his success /
greatness but the response given to him was enough to silence the doubt
the little Boy might be having about his Greatness. So you have to
understand that it's not how bright the color of your skin is that will
determine how bright your future will be, for President Barrack Obama is
an evidential proof that your color is not a determinant of your
success.
We have to wake up to this new
awareness and believe in this principle / saying, "The fact that you are
born is an evidence that you possess
something that can benefit the world". We have to take our future from
whoever is in possession of it and put it in our own hands,. i mean, we
have to plan and make strategies of how to make our future a successful
one. For, no dream or future come true until you wake up and go to work.
That was what Dr Ferrah Gray did and he became a multi-millionaire at
the age of 14. So as you go about this new awareness, remember you are
not too young to be great neither are you too old to be great.
"Whatever you do today, do it better tomorrow".
A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and
time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year.She ended up staying longer than planned, and... ... ... had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along
under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When
she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However,
halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was
waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection.
Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as
though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she
walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the
newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after
she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have
been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young
woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man,
so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup
to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had
seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he
immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and
asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one
question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked
him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side
of her." Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you're never alone. So, let this create the assurance in you that no matter the situation you are passing through, you are not alone because God is with you to help you TACKLE YOUR OBSTACLE
A man and his young
daughter were about to cross a bridge, the man told his daughter, "hold my
hand" but the girl refused and replied, "daddy, hold my hand".
The man was surprise but he still did as the girl had said. After crossing the
bridge, he asked his daughter why she said such a thing and the girl replied,
"daddy, if I hold your hand I might let go but I know if you hold my hand,
you can never leave me". The man smiled as they moved on.
Many times, we want to hold God's hand while passing
through hard times and that's why we can't go too far before loosing grip. But
if He holds us during hard times, He'll never leave us and He will see us
through our hard times.
As we are about to start our new week activities,
let's say this prayer: "Dear Jesus, I now understand the reason for my
downfall. I don't want to hold your hands anymore because I will loose grip.
Hold my hand, dear father, and see me through my hard times. In Jesus' name
I've prayed"
